9 Amazing Boston Sports Blogs

Post image for 9 Amazing Boston Sports Blogs

in Baseball, Basketball, Football, MLB, NBA, NFL

1. SOX & Dawgs - Ian Bethune started his blog with the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Huskies as his main focus. Sox & Dawgs then added the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics to their blog as well. Ian keeps me posted on the daily line-up and opponent of the Sox with information about injuries, contracts, trades and other important information I need to keep up with.

2. Toeing The Rubber - Cyn Donnelly writes for WEEI keeping up with the Red Sox and other major happenings in baseball from the minor leagues all the way up to the bigs. Cyn speaks her mind and let's you know exactly how she feels about the players as well as hosting a routine live blog on the Sox every Wednesday night.

3. Two Cents From Beantown - Chuck Hanf is a character that covers similar stories that I would look into myself. Chuck and I have also written for each other's blogs as well. Chuck has great style and keeps me entertained with his sidekick, "Smitty".

4. 38 Pitches - Curt Schilling writes his blog for WEEI. Curt doesn't post often, but when he does, his point of view is amazing and he has the same attitude as always. Straight to the point without dancing around the issues.

5. Surviving Grady - Red and Denton write about the Boston Red Sox the way it should be, religiously. Inspired by the 2003 ALCS and much like the rest of us, the name for the blog was created as some closure for the past.

6. Sox and Pinstripes - Jeff Louderback and Vince Mercandetti take angles as a Sox fan and a Yankee fan keeping you updated with the ongoings of both organizations. The articles are very explanatory and keep you more than informed on your team of choice in the battle for baseball's best team.

7. Eastern Maine Sports Blog - Marc Calnan has recently began his blogging career and has some pretty good ideas to share. Marc is new to the sports blogging business but has done great building his site.

8. Fire Brand of the American League - Evan Brunell, Tim Daloisio, Joe Veno, Shawn Medeiros, Pat Hickey and Mike Scandura all make up the Fire Brand of the American League. The blog has been around since 2003 and I recently discovered it and read often to keep posted on more Red Sox news I may have missed elsewhere.

9. Full Count - Alex Speier leads the writers in another WEEI blog that caught my eye after given some direction from Cyn Donnelly. The Red Sox are covered as well as other baseball news that's important enough to be written about.

There you have them. The Top 9 Boston Sports Blogs that I read regularly. I hope you can enjoy the content as much as I do.

I checked out their front page. Not bad, pretty darn funny. I’ll add it to my reader and see where that takes me. I always enjoy finding something I like and seeing other’s opinions. Thanks for the source.

A few of those sites are quality, but I am huge Boston sports fan and I think that sportsjuke has some fairly funny articles.
