Kim and Khloe Kardashian first burst onto the scene in their family reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which the SportsFanGirl loves so much (obviously meaning I get stuck watching it between innings). Both sisters having no personal athletic background whatsoever, other than the fact that their biological father was one of OJ Simpson's lawyers and their step-father is Olympic gold medalist, Bruce Jenner. Their newer athletic ties are the fact that they both produce championships for their counterparts in their respective sport.
Reggie Bush Wins Super Bowl XLIV
One of the side stories during Super Bowl XLIV was the fact that a player from each team was involved with a reality star from the E! channel. Reggie Bush was dating Kim Kardashian off and on and Colts wide receiver, Hank Baskett had recently married former girl next door, Kendra Wilkinson. As we all know that Hank played a major role in the Colts loss. Kim and Reggie continued to be involved and uninvolved with one another, but during Super Bowl XLIV, Kim Kardashian was in the stands and wearing a bunch of New Orleans Saints gear to support her boyfriend. Although they eventually broke up after the Super Bowl, Kardashian's 1 - others 0.
Lamar Odom Wins NBA Finals
This is the first time I've revisited the Boston Celtics losing to the Lakers since the night in question. It still pains me to think about it and I have yet to recover fully. Lamar Odom, husband to Khloe, brought the Kardashian family their second championship in as many contests. It hurts more due to the fact that I remember telling SFG that Lamar Odom would be the sole reason that the Lakers would lose game 7 because of his marriage to Khloe. I don't think I jinxed the whole damn thing, but it doesn't make me feel any better to know whether or not that statement had anything to do with it. Regardless, Kardashians 2 - others 0.
Kim Dating Austin Miles
A friend of mine, and hopefully soon to be new contributing writer, brought to my attention again that Kim Kardashian is dating Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Austin Miles. Seeing as the Cowboys are my friend Bobby's favorite team, I was happy to inform him of all of the information provided that the Kardashian women somehow deliver championships. Needless to say, Bobby was very excited that his teams odds of winning the Super Bowl had increased.
For those professional athletes out there thinking that they have no chance at a championship in the future, fear not. Although the third Kardashian sister, Kourtney had a child with some d-bag named Scott, their relationship is always rocky according to SFG. For the female athletes out there, don't feel left out either, the Kardashian's also have a little brother named Rob, who SFG says is dating Russell Simmons' daughter (she's not sure if they're still together). If you're interested in winning championships, consider dating a Kardashian.
