So this weekend I went 3-0, winning in all 3 of the leagues I am in this season. In our very own Sportsfan4 fantasy football league I won by 56 points in a standard scoring PPR league with yardage incentives for all three offensive positions thanks to Kyle Orton's 76.14 point week and Joe Flacco living up to the hype with 53.08 and DeSean Jackson's 35.10 point game with some return yardage help. Favre's 401 K remains undefeated in our league 62.86 points behind Boston Super Blog's, Rob Kelley.
In Dan Jones' Boston Super Blog fantasy football league ($30 buy in), I lost the first two games of the season, pulling up the rear, only to come out on top in week 3 with a 245 point margin of victory (in a ridiculously high scoring league that confuses the crap out of me). With big points again coming from Kyle Orton (518; notice the scoring difference in the two leagues), Brandon Marshall (398), Jeremy Maclin (286) and Tony Gonzalez (280), moving 4 Game Suspension into 7th place of 8. Didn't the Patriots start the 2001 season 0-2?
In an ESPN league that I was invited to by Randy Lutz, who contributes to the Bleacher Report, I won 158-113 with a huge day from CJ Spiller (33) and Brandon Tate (16) in a very deep, 20 team league. The second consecutive victory after an 0-1 start moved me into 6th place overall (although the league is split up into 4 divisions), 2nd place in my divison.
After finishing in second place for two straight years, I feel obligated to boast when something like this happens. Thanks for hearing me out.
