This week, the New England Patriots began their off-season voluntary workouts. Among some no shows such as veterans Tom Brady (family reasons) and Ty Warren (pursuing a bachelor's degree), Adalius Thomas was also a no show for the workouts, claiming that he was "unaware that they had started". If his lack of production on the field wasn't enough to show that he didn't want to be here, I'm sure that this should be suitable enough a reason to send him packing.
Adalius' statements were proven false with a release from NESN;
According to a source, every player received an itinerary detailing their offseason plan, and it was as meticulous as the players' running and weightlifting sessions during each day of their voluntary workouts, which are broken into three phases that progress in difficulty leading up to minicamp. Players must show up for four workouts in a given week to receive compensation.
It's possible that AD's itinerary could have gotten lost in the wash, hell it's even possible that they didn't even bother to send him one. What isn't possible is that he was unaware that the voluntary workouts began. There is no way in hell that he didn't read it in the newspaper, hear it on the radio, see it on the TV or by chance speak to any other player on the damn team that would have mentioned it in conversation.
Whether or not he wants to be in New England, it's time to cut our losses abd cut ties with Adalius Thomas. He has shown nothing but a lack of effort stringing all the way back to the meeting he was sent home from for showing up late along with Randy Moss. Adalius Thomas is one of those cancer's in the locker room that is going to bring the team down, take a hike AD.
Thanks to patriotworld for the picture of Adalius Thomas.
