This morning, ESPN reported that Brett Favre changed his mind yet again and would sign with the Minnesota Vikings, pending a physical. Brett Favre has retired three times in the past two NFL seasons. Favre has also un-retired, four times now if he signs with the Vikings today.

As I have said in the past, I do hope that Brett Favre comes back to play in the NFL. I love Brett Favre and think he can still succeed in the NFL if he plays with a good team. With Adrian Peterson in the backfield, Favre is definitely going to have a strong running game to allow him more time in the pocket on passing plays.

I watched Favre get off the plane on ESPN and it looks like you're actually going to have to buy me that drink Adam. However, I won't believe it until I actually see Brett Favre come out in a Vikings uniform on their field and taking the first snap. The Vikings are said to have a $10-$12 M contract prepared for Brett, which could be signed within a few hours. Excitement is filling the air and I can't wait.

Thanks to mheisel for the photo of Brett Favre.

“…..I won’t believe it until I actually see Brett Favre come out in a Vikings uniform on their field and taking the first snap.”

Stand by for their preseason game versus Kansas City. It’s Matt Cassell vs. Brett Farve

Also, the bet was:

“If Favre comes back and his team does not make the playoffs, you owe me a beer and vice versa, if he comes back and his team does make the playoffs I owe you a beer. Deal? Is it on like Donkey Kong?”

So, no beer for you…yet.
