As you state there are numerous things any adolescent and teenager has to deal with so the added pressure to perform to unrealistic standards can be very damaging. Encouragement and support are one thing, hyper-competitive parents who are trying to realize some glory they never had through their children&#039;s performance is unhealthy and wrong. I hope this article reaches the parents and coaches who need it.</description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Burnout is a real issue.
