And the Band Plays On
After finally finishing what seemed like a never ending first round the NHL is ready for the semifinal round, or round 2. After predicting the entire playoffs it seems that my picks were not too bad for the first round, getting 5 of the 8 2nd round teams correct.

EASTERN CONFERENCE
#1 Boston Bruins vs. #6 Carolina Hurricanes
- I'll take Boston to win this round in 5 games.
#2 Washington Capitals vs. #4 Pittsburgh Penguins
- Pittsburgh has been playing well lately so I see them winning in 6 games.
WESTERN CONFERENCE
#2 Detroit Red Wings vs. #8 Anaheim Ducks
- One might think to go with the hot pick, the Ducks, to win this round but I'm going to stick with Detroit. I don't believe Anaheim can pull it off a second time.
#3 Vancouver Canucks vs. #4 Chicago Blackhawks
- I'm going with Vancouver again to win this round. Not as easily as round one but still win. Chicago plays tough but will not have enough to win this round.
I can’t believe San Jose lost. Bruins, Red Wings for the Stanley Cup? Either way I see another Championship coming back to Boston, very exciting! Get the Duck Boats ready!
