Welcome to SportsFan4!
This site is a forum for sports related events mainly in the New England area as well as those inspiring things that have nothing to do with the local area such as A-Rod juicing, T.O. not showing up to voluntary camp or even the NCAA final four. The freedom to inform you of anything that I feel is important on that day is good for you and fun for all.
Who Am I?
My name is Josh and I have loved sports my entire life. When I was 13 years old, when everyone else woke up for school to the news and weather, I had my television tuned to ESPN for SportsCenter with the channel back button set to NESN. As a youngster I did it all, Pop Warner Football, Little League Baseball and BNBL Basketball. I've been following every angle of sports since I could breathe. I attended Boston Latin School (where we are now assured that there are no vampires present) and played football for four years there. After graduation, I moved on to Utica College of Syracuse University in Utica, NY where I also played four years of football as a Wide Receiver and a Safety. As you can now see, my main focus is football, but I do love it all! The Red Sox winning two World Series, the Celtics bringing home #17...all while the Patriots won 3 Lombardi trophies!
I strongly believe that playing the game, and even just following the Boston teams passionately, builds character. It says a lot about a person who can now tell the story of Bill Buckner in the '86 series without crying about it, or mentioning Bucky "F'n" Dent with a smirk on your face since we're up 2-0 on those pinstripe pansies in this era. Knowing that our football team is so deep that our third string kicker could probably pass for 4,000 yards and 15 TD's and bring us to the playoffs (if necessary, not asking to see it).
Is Sports Fan #4 for you?
So if you're the type of person that watches SportsCenter for a three hour loop while clicking back and forth between three other games that are being played including the meaningless grapefruit league or the "Not In Tournament" then this is the place for you. So sit back, put on your reading glasses, grab a drink and have a good time. All thoughts, comments and ideas from the readers are more than welcome. This is a forum for all to voice their opinion about what's going on in the sports world today.
